Hetalia: America and The Raven

This is what I do while thinking about the million other things I should be doing instead....

Yes... This is SO random. I finished it and I was like "HAHAHA--This doesn't make any sense." And yet here we are....

The much deserved explanation:
Why is France the Phantom of the Opera, you may ask? Well, it's because despite the fact that Andrew Lloyd Webber forever enshrined the brooding character of the Phantom in the public eye, the original story was actually written by the French journalist, Gaston Leroux. I honestly wasn't that surprised when I found out... The French are obsessed with the tragically romantic tale of beauty versus ugliness (e.i. The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Beauty and the Beast...) and apparently so are the rest of us!!

England is none other than Sherlock Holmes. Oh, and the opium reference? Totally legit. Sir Doyle actually alludes to Holmes' obsession with the drug in the series! Crazy, right?

And lastly, dear, dear America. Oh, America. I was torn between portraying him as Tom Sawyer, Gatsby, or the unnamed individual from Poe's poem The Raven. I settled with the Raven guy... I just couldn't resist.
